Community is at the heart of everything Big Sister Little Sister Mentoring Program does.

This doesn’t just include the sisterhood that is formed with each chapter, but the community beyond them. Our members are future changemakers who are looking to start learning and making an impact now. They take their work seriously, and extend their reach into the communities around them beyond mentoring opportunities and to strengthening the cities they reside in.

Big Sister Little Sister members exemplify servant leaders: by serving those around us, we grow as leaders ourselves.

We do this through actions like our street adoption program, which focuses on creating cleaner, healthier environments, benefiting local communities and reinforcing the value of stewardship among our members. By coordinating this initiative, our student leaders exemplify leadership through service, putting the needs of the environment and community at the forefront of their actions. This act of serving cultivates deeper connections between members/peer to peer mentorship and their surroundings of where they live, work, and go to school.
