Why Giving Tuesday Matters?
Most people know Black Friday and Cyber Monday. But Giving Tuesday, the global day of generosity, is still unfamiliar to many. Giving Tuesday is always the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It is the global day dedicated to generosity, impact, and community. It’s the moment when millions of people choose to support the causes that shape futures, and for BSLS, it is one of the most important days of the year. It was created in 2012 as an intentional counterbalance to the consumerism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
For over 17 years, BSLS has grown through heart, mentorship, and service. Giving Tuesday allows us to continue our work and impact.

Double Your Impact, Many Employers Match Gifts
BSLS is registered in workplace giving portals like Benevity, Double The Donation, and others.
👉 Donation matching: Your employer may match your donation 1:1, 2:1, or even 3:1.
👉 Dollars-for-hours volunteer programs: Some companies also offer Dollars for Doers, giving money for volunteer hours.
A $50 gift could become $100.
A $100 gift could become $300.

$25 Workshop materials for a mentee + national curriculum support
$50 Workshop materials for a Big + a Little member
$100 Leadership training for a chapter + national tools and resources
$250 Funds a service project + supports BSLS national events (including Hear Our Voice, WomenAlign| Lock + Key, Environmental clean ups, etc. )
$500 Supports a full semester experience including programming, scholarships, mentorship, and national operations support
$1,000 Strengthens national operations, technology, and infrastructure helping us reach more campuses and communities across the country
