First and foremost, as an organization with a presence and community in Los Angeles, we want to extend a heartfelt offering of prayers and support to all affected by the fires. Our hearts are heavy for the Los Angeles community as we continue to understand and navigate through the devastation caused by the damage. Hello, 2025! A New Chapter of Growth and Connection Awaits. 

We are excited about all of our members who have just gone back to school for the spring semester! Getting to be in person with each other makes a huge difference for how our chapter members grow, connect, and lead. We are honored to get to support them and their mentorship journey. 

Did you know that January is:

National Mentoring Month

This celebration brings us back to our roots and reminds us of our original purpose of why we started. We are honored to cultivate bonds not only between professional mentors and our student mentees, but also within each chapter of peer-to-peer mentoring through accountability and sisterhood bonds. Through this we are building bonds that uplift, inspire, and combat challenges like loneliness and depression, ensuring our members have the support they need to grow academically and personally. These relationships create future leaders who are not only invested in themselves but in one another. Together, we can continue shaping these bonds and empowering the next generation of world changemakers through a donation that's just as little as $10 a month.

  • January 25: Thank Your Mentor Day

National Mentoring Month serves as a reminder that mentoring builds connections that drive personal and professional development, career readiness, reduces social isolation, and creates stronger, more supportive communities. 

This month, we proudly celebrate the incredible BSLS Mentors who selflessly dedicate their time and energy to guiding, inspiring, and empowering the next generation of leaders.
